Tax day

Imagine a world where you didn't have to track receipts, where you brought home your whole paycheck and controlled how much tax you pay. Where you could work extra hours and actually get ahead instead of just taxed at a higher rate. Where illegal immigrants, drug dealers, pimps, mafia, tourists paid into the tax system. Where we didn't punish hard work but encouraged it. Where companies didn't have to hide $14 trillion dollars overseas, and could put it to use in American markets. Where the American worker is no longer a tax liability to companies, bringing more jobs to the u.s. Ok I'm done now.

I finally got her to ride her bike

After shelling out my hard earned money on a bike for my wife months ago I finally got her to ride it, and down lost creek at that. I have mentioned lost creek before it is a road that is 3 very hard climbs and 3 death defying downhills.

I originally banned her from riding down lost creek due to the danger, but I caved today because I really wanted to ride it with her. As we started I warned her she would not be able to ride all the way up hills the first time so she would ride as far up as she could then walk the bike the rest of the way up. I did the same thing my first time. One particularly funny moment came on the first hill, I rode up it and was headed back down to walk back up it again with her when a man started to ride up the hill. I yelled to her "don't let that man pass you!". He chuckled and zoomed past us. He told Audrey Im mean for taking her down lost creek for her first ride. On her first downhill she rode the brake so hard it was squealing so bad. It was hilarious, she did much better on the other downhills.

We took our time but made it. Overall it was quite an adventure we saw a dead snake, one of us did a backflip off our bike, I don't want to name names but it does start with an "A". It was quite the dismount.

Having her with me did add to the workout which I am grateful for. I went up each hill twice and had to wear a backpack to carry water because she drinks like a camel.

We then showered (seperately mom) and went and had the best sushi ever at Piranha's Killer Sushi. It was crazy good. We were gonna see our favorite band "The Flying Club" but they canceled tonight so we headed to 219 West to throw back some martinis. Happy hour till 9, who has happy hour till 9?

Anyway I need to give this "Jamaciatini" my undivided attention. Have a good night all. We miss you.

Ultimate example of life not being fair

I stepped on the scale today and found my hard work is paying off, I am only 0.3 pounds away from being able to say I weigh in the 170's (that's 180.2 lbs for the mathematically challenged). I have not weighed 170 something in a decade, I reached a high of 221 pounds just two years ago. It has been a hard slow climb back down and I intend to stop at 165-170 pounds.

So you're asking "Scott how is life not fair? Sounds like it's going pretty well". Well the unfair part is, I come within 0.3 pounds of a milestone I have not seen in a decade and it instantly hits me that we are having meatloaf tonight, my death row meal. Hey 190 I'll see you tomorrow. As for you 180 maybe I'll drop by next month.
